The New Aluminium Side Rail
All new Livestock Trailers with a steel ladder framed
construction now come with a patented aluminium side rail when
manufactured by Houghton Parkhouse Ltd. (The difference in
construction and appearance can be seen below)
The benefits of this new aluminium side rail design are as
follows:-
- 90 degree angle to the inside of the container sides,
increasing floor area to the bottom deck by 6% (same floor area
increase as in our Monocoque trailers)
- Allows Cattle to stand tight into the sides
- Reduces wash down times
- Eliminating the tell-tale signs of age, as you might see
through a steel side rail
- Eliminates the issue of aluminium wrapped around a steel
chassis, as you might find with other makes and models
- Built in area for conspicuity tape
- Aesthetically pleasing
